Terms of Service

1. The service

Panel Designer is a browser-based tool for designing electrical cabinets and distribution boards, including topology-aware component placement, validation, terminal numbering, and export of bills of materials (BOM) and schematic drawings.

The product is currently in private beta. Features, availability, and pricing may change without notice, and the service is provided on an "as is" / "as available" basis during this phase.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be able to form a binding contract to use the service (i.e., not a minor, and authorized to act if using it on behalf of a company).
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information when requesting early access or creating an account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the service beyond normal use
• Interfere with or disrupt the service's infrastructure or security
• Upload content you don't have the rights to, or that infringes third-party intellectual property
• Resell or sublicense access to the service without our written permission

4. Your content and designs

• Any cabinet designs, component data, or project files you create in Panel Designer remain yours.
• You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the service to you (e.g., generating exports, saving your projects).
• You are responsible for the technical accuracy of any design, BOM, or schematic exported from the tool. Panel Designer is a design aid; it does not replace review by a qualified electrical engineer or compliance with local electrical codes and regulations before any cabinet is built or installed.

5. Intellectual property

The Panel Designer software, branding, and website content (excluding your own uploaded content and designs) are owned by OPAK Mérnökiroda Kft. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or source code.

6. Early access / beta terms

• Beta features may be incomplete, contain bugs, or change substantially before general availability.
• We may suspend, modify, or discontinue beta features at any time.
• Feedback you provide about the beta may be used by us to improve the product without obligation to you.

7. Fees

The service is currently offered free of charge during private beta. Any future paid plans will be described separately, and you will be notified and given the opportunity to accept new pricing terms before being charged.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that exported designs are free of errors.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OPAK Mérnökiroda Kft. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, with or without cause, particularly during the beta phase. You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time by contacting us.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product develops. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify users by email or an in-app notice.
